Norristown, one of the largest districts in Montgomery County, as well as the location of the County courthouse, is serviced by two different magisterial courts that cater to various areas of the city. The district courts, which handle preliminary hearings, traffic law, DUI and refusal hearings, landlord-tenant disputes and misdemeanors, are situated in two different areas of the city.

Norristown is served by the courts numbered #38-1-15 and #38-1-16.

Court 38-1-15 is located at 200 W. Main Street, Norristown PA 19401. It is presided over by the Hon. Francis J. Lawrence, Jr.

This court is open Monday through Friday from 8:15-4:30. It is available by telephone at (610) 279-3332.

The other court, #38-1-16 is presided over by the Hon. Margaret Hunsicker, magistrate judge. This court is open from 8:30-4:15, Monday through Friday.
