Officially numbered #38-2-08, the magisterial district court of Willow Grove is open Monday through Friday from 8:30-4:15. During these hours, it is available by telephone at (215) 659-6840.
The district court is presided over by the official magistrate, the Hon. Jay S. Friedenberg. Friedenberg is one of 30 magisterial justices from different districts employed by Montgomery County. In addition to these 30 justices, the county seat employs 23 full-time justices and the senior judge of the court of Common Pleas, the Hon. William T. Nicholas.
Besides being the seat of the Court of Common Pleas, the county courthouse in Norristown also contains the Office of the Public Defender and the Office of the District Attorney, Risa Vetri Ferman. The office of the Clerk of Courts is also in the courthouse, found at 2 East Airy Street, Norristown PA 19401. The current Clerk of Courts is Ann Thornburg. The Deputy Clerks of Court are Alice J. Hendrickson and Linda M. Sulock.
